My first duty with her

I usually don't blog about my wok, but this is the first duty I had with her. So will wanna pen it down.

It's my 2nd year for this duty and to expose us for different events, we will have chance to follow her individually. This event is for some fund raising and before that we recce once to the place and discuss the details. I arrived early, and met up with another lady going along with us. Also met her family members. He was coughing quite badly, must have caught a cold earlier on. The 40min before the car departs seem long. I looked through the program once, and roughly remember the important time and events. The driver arrived 10mins earlier, and when it was time to leave, I was supposed to invite her out to the car. He was in his casual attire, and looked just like any other person...something I seldom see.

Actually, after all these encounters, I longer saw them as very special people, my heart don't beat that fast anymore when I was near them. They are actually very nice people, and very much like us. Anyway, during the drive to the destination, I briefed her about the program and when and what will happen. Then there are long moments of silence. I thought it was not very appropriate for me to strike a conversation with her, by asking her questions or telling her about myself. It's like, hi ma'am, how was your day? Or what are you doing just now? I'm so and so, like to do what, etc. Doesn't sound right correct? So I just kept quiet unless she spoke.

The weather was hot and I was in my jacket. Hope the place was not too warm. We reached the place on time. There was welcome drums by the school, and this is followed by photo taking. My job was just to be beside her, so quite easy. Then we had our lunch followed by souvenir giving to people. Talked to Ms G more while eating and found out more about her. She has worked for 9 years and was a year younger than me. Throughout, we looked at her just in case she had any special request. The only thing I failed to notice was that the video person still took some shots of her eating and that was not very nice. Lucky Ms L saw and advise the person not to.

Souvenir was then presented, and I had to go to her seat to inform her that she can leave. The departure was smooth and soon we were back to her place. And that's it, the end of my job. Hmm... not as frigtening as I thought.
