Dangerous sia!

Today as I was driving home, I nearly had an accident. The situation was like this:

I was driving along the highway my normal route home...but I saw the signboard that indicated that an accident had ocurred ahead and there would be a traffic jam. So I decided to deviate from my normal route to the secondary route I would take. However, maybe today I feeling more tired than usual and my concentration level had reduced. For some reason, I did not notice the traffic light nearest to me, but I was looking at the other traffic light that is located less than 100m away. I was on the right most lane. Then suddenly from the corner of my eyes, I saw a person crossing the road, and I was thinking to myself why he was jay walking like that. Then shucks, I saw the traffic light by bending forward and looking up. Tried to jam brake but it was a bit too late, and no choice I had to go through the red light.

The person must be very shocked to see me just drive through, as he was raising his hand, that indicated to me like :" what the heck was this crazy driver doing!" I too was shocked, as it was an oversight on my part.

Seriously, what my mum said then came to my mind. She mentioned before that some traffic lights were so closely located that some times, we drivers did not see the traffic light nearest to us, and it was very dangerous. I didn't know that this would happen to me too. Now I knew that it could happen and I thanked my or the pedestrain's lucky star that I missed him. He was at the 2nd lane while I was 3rd lane. If not, there ws no way I could argue my way through should anything really happen.

So all drivers, pleas be careful when driving to such areas where traffic lights were at close proximity. Maybe I should write to complain...
